We decided to visit St Mary's and chose to stop at The Flour Mill at the corner of Water Street and Queen Street. Friends had suggested another place but after looking at their menu, the decision was easy. We booked a table and made the 225km drive to the historic Stone Town in time for Sunday Brunch. Our party tried their latté, matcha latté, whipped ricotta cheese and fruit on sourdough toast, the salmon bagel and frisée salad with egg and bacon. For dessert a piece of chocolate cake was shared. Everything was excellent, filling (although a single piece of sourdough toast may not sound very satisfying at first) it definitely was just the right portion size and beautifully presented with violets, mint and fresh local mixed fruit. The friendly staff are dressed in black and white and quickly greet and serve guests with professional efficiency. Many locally made items are their focus and everything is fresh and high quality. A large crystal chandelier dominates their dining room and guests sit at a variable sized seating (long tables, small bistro tables mixed). Only con was we were seated close to the kitchen and front counter making staff's route a bit narrow. Plenty of fresh baked treats, cookies, pies, flowers, for take away as you enter. Local produce, meats, granola, fish, drinks, honey and home goods on offer along the perimeter. We took home some of the Flour Mill's own granola which when combined with our garden's stewed rhubarb and plain yogurt was delicious. Eat, Shop & Stay are all available at this little gem of a restaurant in downtown St Mary's. $$$ EV charging station at 116 Jones St East around the corner is the closest EV charger. Another EV charger located at the VIA station 5 James St North. On street parking also available. Open Wed-Sun 10am - 3pm. Definitely worth the drive!

A charming place to spend a slow Sunday brunch. Beautifully refurbished building, sweet location with an exquisite menu and high quality products. Amazing food, I have never been disappointed with anything I've tried. My favorite is the curried chicken salad and bagel with smoked salmon. They have a daily lunch menu as well as a Sunday brunch menu

The most beautiful cafe I have ever been to in my life. The staff were amazing and the food is delicious. They have an amazing selection of local boutique produce and fine deli selections. Highly recommend!

Excellent is an understatement. We had the Flour Mill cater the morning of my wedding (Oct 18, 2024) and the food, service and presentation was exceptional. My bridal party was so impressed by the quality of the food and the service with a smile at 7AM! I cannot thank you enough for making what should have been a busy and stressful morning so wonderful. To top it off we booked a reservation for 15 people the next day at the cafe and was pleasantly surprised that the food, service and atmosphere was even better. Thank you Flour Mill team for a pre and post wedding experience that I will never forget.

The Flour Mill in St. Marys has been our go-to caterer for many family events, and they never disappoint. When planning our wedding, I knew I wanted their incredible food to be part of our cocktail hour. Their beef tenderloin popovers are absolutely to die for, and the puff pastry topped with caramelized onions, roasted tomatoes, and feta was a hit with all our guests. The vibrant veggie board with aioli dip was a beautiful and delicious addition as well. Tracey and Alex were fantastic to work with throughout the process, making everything seamless and stress-free. They have truly established a beautiful business in downtown St. Marys, and we couldn't have been happier with their service. If you're looking for catering that leaves a lasting impression, The Flour Mill is the place to go!

Delicious, quality food, amazing produce, good people. A charming spot we’ve had our eye on and it did not disappoint. Well worth our almost two hour drive to get there. They now have brunch served on both Sat & Sun. Go!
